Biography About
John F Kennedy and his Death

Family
John F Kennedy was born on the 29th of May 1917.  His parents are Joseph Kennedy and Rose Kennedy JFK has 8 siblings Robert, Ted, Eunice, Rosemary, Jean, Patricia, Kathleen and Joseph Jr. JFK married Jacqueline Lee Bouvier but when JFK died in 1963 she remarried in 1968. JFK had 4 children Caroline, John Jr, Arabella, and Patrick.

During World War II, Kennedy launched a series of PT boats in the Pacific theater and earned the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for his service.

What Donald Trump Said
Donald Trump has just said that he might 3500 released documents about JFK on his assassination

Assassination
On November 22, 1963, Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for the crime, but  Lee Harvey Oswald was killed by a man named Jack Ruby two days later.A question is at the heart of the fundamental issue of whether Lee Harvey Oswald could have acted alone The Warren Commission concluded that Oswald’s first shot from the Texas School Book Depository wounded Kennedy, in the back of the presidential limo, and Texas Gov
. John Connally was an American politician. He served as the 39th Governor of Texas and as the 61st United States Secretary of the Treasury, who was sitting in front of JFK in a jump seat. This 6.5mm copper-jacketed bullet hit JFK in the back, traveled through his body, and then struck Governor Connally’s chest and wrist said the commission. It was found on a gurney at Parkland Memorial Hospital upon which Connally had lain.

Short Story

This is my short story but I haven't finished it yet this what I have done so far

In a little town there was a market that started at 8:45am Ellie , Bella and Emma always went down to get food for their mother her name was Audrey their mother’s friend was there selling vegetables his name was mike. Ellie and Bella ran away laughing “they always not include me they have fun I have do everything for them”. When me and your mum was in highschool we were boyfriend and girlfriend but then she fell in love with your father she broke up with me I have never forgiven her she acts like nothing never happened I hate her now. I hate my sisters too how about we kill your sisters to get back to get back at your mum no I love them come over to my house and we can talk about it ok said Emma. The next day Emma went over to mike’s house “I don’t want to kill my sisters you don’t have to you can open the door for me no I love my sisters and you are not going to kill them cried Emma. Three days later Audrey invited mike over for dinner they had a great time and  Ellie , Bella and Emma were there. At 7:50 and they had finish dinner mike decided to go home but when Audrey was waking him to the door he said he can let himself out so Audrey turn and went to put the girls to bed but what Audrey and Ellie , Bella and Emma didn’t know was that mike closed the door to sound that he left and locked the door then he ran into the bathroom to get change he got change into all black clothes and black gloves and boots with a black mask. Audrey went to bed and fell asleep listening to music with headphones in Ellie and Bella were playing with each other Emma was asleep mike called Ellie. On his phone when he called Ellie it said unknown Ellie answered and mike said “Don’t go and get your mum stay in your room this is your last night of living I will call back soon” Ellie and Bella started trembling in fear and went to go and went to wake up Emma when they told Emma she thought they were lying.

Athletics Learning

When doing the high jump you need to get over the bar so you don’t get eliminated. It goes higher and higher until only one competitor remains.

This is how the competition works. The higher the band or bar the harder the challenge becomes.

This term for pe we are doing athletics and we had to write about one thing in athletics to tell someone how to do it I choose high jump

Maths Group Chocolate Game

Speech

In class, we had to do persuasive speeches mine is about Why having a cat is good for health? this it

Kia ora ko Sofia toku ingoa, No reira, tena koutou, tena koutou, tena koutou katoa.

Today I will be talking to you about why having a cat is good for your health. I have a 7 year old cat called Lily. She is a special breed called Abyssinian.  I got her 7 years ago and I was the one who chose her name. We got her just out of Kapiti and she is a very special family pet.

Having an animal like a cat is good for your health. They are good for your health because they keep you active.  Spending time with your cat and playing with them using toys where they have to run and grab them before you move it, is an example of time you need to be active with them.  They give you love and there is research that shows that caring for animals helps people who suffer from depression. One in six New Zealand adults, or 16%, or...582,000 adults were diagnosed with depression according to the mentalhealth.org website for 2013. Do you think a cat will help with depression?

Animals keep you active because you need to walk them, clean up after them and feed them. All these things take energy and commitment to be responsible. Being responsible makes you feel happy and needed.

Animals like my cat Lily give you love. This keeps you healthy because feeling loved is important for humans. It makes you feel happy and wanted. It improves your mental health. Petting your dog or cat can lower your blood pressure it helps your body release a relaxation hormone, and cuts down on levels of a stress hormone

Research shows that having an animal can help with depression. This helps your health because it gives sad people company and hope. It gives people joy and that can help people who are depressed.

Animals are amazing for your health. They keep you active, give you love and help people who suffer from depression. So if you want to be a happy and balanced person who has good mental health then get a animal. My recommendation is a cat.

Sofia's Self Portrait

We used an art technique called cross-hatching to create our self portrait this year. This technique creates more of a 3d effect which is what we were wanting rather than just colouring ourselves in. Miss O'B had an A3 black and white photo of us. First we had to colour our pupil, iris and cornea with appropriate colours. We then used 'people crayons' which are made with skin tone colours. Using the two closest colours to our skin tone, we cross hatched our face starting at our forehead and moving down to our neck. The hardest part was our nose.  We then coloured our hair, completed our school uniform and blocked out the background in a vibrant pastel colour so our faces stood out. So what do you think of my self portrait?

What Are Room 10's Super Powers?

This week we were challenged to think about how we could be a helpful citizen in Room 10 and what super powers we could use? If we are going to have a fantastic year, it is crucial we help each other out in times of need, when asked and by using our initiative. Here is a photo of our faces transformed into Super Hero's and a speech bubble with our thinking. On the speech bubble we have identified one super power we are already good at using and another one we want to get better at using. My super powers are to help people when they are stuck and to be confident in my self.
